information architecture web print identity student's work

Welcome to my portfolio. I have been working in the web and interactive field for over 10 years. Working with the smallest of Mom & Pops to Jiffylube Corporate. I love what I do, I have a passion for discovery. I am best at asking and listening. Reconfiguring what I hear into problems and desires to be reconciled

My biggest influence has been Robert E. Horn. He impressed me in two ways. 1. He sat in a room with a lot of text books and cut out each sentence and grouped each one based on it's nature and discovered there were only eight piles at the end of it; the biggest being fluff-not fun contextual, help you figure it out fluff, but just plain fluff. 2. His books are great, ugly maybe but the amount of information you 'get' just by a single glance is phenomenal. Others who have kicked me into ah-ha's: Brenda Laurel, Romedi Passini, Edward E. Tufte, Heather Rosenman, Adam Stuczynski and most all of my students at Art Center College of Design. Philbert my very first student who taught me all about listening to the nuances of human behaviour.
